Licence agreement

Last updated 30 October 2026. This covers the LapVoice Pro application. The free command-line coach is a separate MIT-licensed project and is not covered by this agreement.

1. What you are buying

A licence to install and use the software on the number of computers your order covers (“seats”), for as long as you comply with this agreement. The licence is personal to you and is not transferable except as described in section 4.

2. What you may do

  • Install and run the software on the computers your order covers, for your own use.
  • Use it while racing, and in videos, streams and recordings, including monetised ones.
  • Keep and use the versions you paid for, for as long as you like.

3. What you may not do

  • Copy, sell, rent, lease, lend, share or sublicense the software or your activation code.
  • Publish, distribute or share the software's source code.
  • Remove or alter the activation, attribution or copyright notices.
  • Bypass, disable or work around the activation or the seat limit.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the software, except to the extent the law expressly permits.

4. Activation and seats

The software is activated with a licence code bound to a machine identifier. It contacts the licence server from time to time to confirm the code is still valid; if the server cannot be reached, a recently validated licence keeps working so a race is never interrupted. You can move a seat to another computer by deactivating the old one first. Codes may be deactivated on refund, on chargeback, or where a code is shared or abused.

5. Privacy

The software reads iRacing's telemetry on your computer and analyses it there. Nothing about your driving is uploaded, and there is no account to sign in to. The only network traffic the software generates is licence validation: a machine identifier and your code. The AI model runs locally through Ollama. See the privacy policy.

6. Updates

Updates within version 1.x are included. A later major version may be offered as a paid upgrade; you are never required to take it.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled by the reseller you bought from (Lemon Squeezy) within its refund window, currently 14 days. When a refund is issued, the activation code is deactivated and the seat is freed. See the refund policy.

8. No warranty

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including lost races, lost data or lost profits, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software.

9. Not affiliated with iRacing

LapVoice is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations. “iRacing” is used only to describe what the software works with. The software reads the sim's public telemetry interface and never modifies the sim.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
